The R-B Affair is a light-hearted, one-act comedy focused on the grandiose dreams of an American ambassador posted to a developing country who aspires to be as renowned as George Kennan or Henry Kissinger. He intends to demonstrate a history-making new approach to stimulating economic progress in Third World countries. Alas, his hopes are shattered by a plague of –well, he hates to say it—but a plague of bunnies.
The play is based on a story I wrote in The Foreign Service Journal. I made it into a play in 2013 for presentation by Washington, DC’s Playwrights’ Collaborative at the Writers’ Center of Bethesda, MD.
